Planning for the Wounds Australia 2024 Conference in Gold Coast in October is progressing well, with exciting developments in programming, partnerships and more. Three leading international speakers have accepted invitations to deliver keynote addresses, with more presenters still in the pipeline, and our Conference Committee looks forward to revealing names very soon. A preliminary program is expected to be available at www.woundsconference.org later this month. Abstract submissions have picked up pace in recent weeks and we are very happy to note the exceptionally high standard of the submissions received so far. And this year’s theme – Champions of Change: Wounds Australia – 30 Years of Action – is providing lots of inspiration to the committee members tasked with organising our social events, especially our awards night and gala dinner. We strive to improve the delegate experience at every Wounds Australia Conference, and this one is no exception. In 2024, an innovative exhibition hall floorplan will centre around a dynamic World of Wounds Theatrette, where simultaneous industry-sponsored sessions during program breaks will give you the choice and flexibility to keep learning with colleagues in a more relaxed setting, while meeting our valued exhibitors. Announcing our Platinum Partner: Mölnlycke Health CareWe have been overwhelmed by positive feedback from industry partners on location, program plans and exhibition hall innovations, and thank them for their generous support. View our partners. We are especially delighted to announce that Mölnlycke Health Care is again our conference Platinum Partner. They have supported several Wounds Australia Conferences in this capacity and we are thrilled they have chosen to continue to partner with us. Mölnlycke Marketing Manager Martina O’Brien said the company had a strong relationship with Wounds Australia and its members, and that a conference partnership represented a valuable way to actively engage with and support wound care practitioners. “Mölnlycke is committed to supporting the wound care community in a range of ways, and providing evidence-based, accessible and inspiring education is a key way we demonstrate that commitment,” Ms O’Brien said. “We also pride ourselves on bringing healthcare professionals together to connect, network, learn and share their experiences and best practices. “Supporting a Conference that unites the best wound care practitioners and researchers in a single location, to share their insights and discover the latest evidence from research, aligns with our excellent track record in educating and connecting the wound care profession.” Ms O’Brien said she looked forward to welcoming visitors to the Mölnlycke stand to learn about their innovative and intuitive solutions for prevention, faster healing and better quality of life, all designed to free patients, caregivers and healthcare systems from the burden of wounds.
